Overview
This article provides relevant information regarding the Backend Database you should use for GFI WebMonitor.
Information
As of GFI WebMonitor 2012 and newer versions, the internal and external databases have been combined, and all monitoring and reporting are done through one common database. You have the option of using the integrated Firebird database or Microsoft SQL Server Database.
GFI Software recommends that you use Microsoft SQL Server as the Backend Database for performance and maintenance reasons.
Any Microsoft SQL Server versions from Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and above are compatible, including the free Microsoft SQL Express editions. Refer to Size Limitations for Microsoft SQL Server Express Databases for more information.
