Upgrade to GFI WebMonitor 10
- Check to see which version / build you are currently on. Check the home page or version information under general settings.
- Create a new key in the GFI Customer Area using the Upgrade Key Procedure.
- GFI WebMonitor 10.1 allows a direct upgrade for GFI WebMonitor 2013 for TMG. For more information see http://go.gfi.com/?pageid=webmonhelp#cshid=helpmechoose
- Backup your configuration per the following article: http://kb.gfi.com/articles/SkyNet_Article/KBID003680
- Download the new version from our website: http://cdndl.gfi.com/gfiwebmonitor10_net_x64.exe
- Run the installer. It does the following:
- Install the prerequisites listed below (some may require a reboot). If a reboot is required, you will have the option to reboot at a later time and continue the installation by rerunning the installer.
- Uninstall the current version leaving behind your configuration files, webgrade database, etc.
- Install the new build in the same installation directory.
- (Optional) Transfer your user browsing history data. By default, the installation will not transfer your user browsing history data to the new database (SQL or Firebird). It is only required if you need to run reports or see browsing information from the previous installation. The configuration files and policies are kept separately. See the following articles:
